For over eighty years, the Moomins have inspired readers with their warmth, curiosity and deep connection to nature. In The Art of the Sea, Laine Publishing brings together 18 international designers to celebrate this beloved world through a collection of 23 knitwear patterns.

The designs translate the atmosphere of Moominvalley into garments and accessories that reflect the warmth of Moominmamma, the wit of Little My, the independence of Snufkin and the salt-tinged breath of the northern sea.

Created as a tribute to Tove Jansson and her timeless creative legacy, the book combines storytelling, contemporary knitwear design and Laine’s signature photography into a beautifully produced volume.
